The Best Candidates
Virtually any man who would like to improve his appearance and slow the aging process could be a good candidate for injectables. During your consultation, you can discuss your various injectable treatment options to help you choose the most appropriate solution for your needs.
What to Expect
Most injectable treatments are considered “lunchtime procedures” because you can schedule them right over your lunch break and go right back to work afterwards. Depending on your trouble spots and goals, Dr. Mariotti may suggest one injectable treatment or a combination of treatments to maximize your results.
- BOTOX® Cosmetic for men, affectionately referred to as “brotox,” is a type of injectable wrinkle treatment that works by temporarily relaxing the facial muscles that cause wrinkles in your forehead and eye areas. Dr. Mariotti also offers Dysport®, a BOTOX competitor.
- Dermal fillers are most commonly used to temporarily erase lines and wrinkles around your mouth, as well as restore lost facial volume in your mid-face area.

After Your Injectable Treatment
Generally speaking, injectables do not require any downtime after your appointment, so you don’t have to worry about taking time off work or rescheduling your normal activities. For the first few days, you may experience swelling, bruising and redness, but these side effects are usually mild and should go away on their own.
It can take up to two weeks for your BOTOX and filler results to fully develop, so don’t feel discouraged if you don’t see the outcome you’d hoped for immediately. Kybella results can take longer to develop, since most men schedule a series of sessions.

In the hands of a skilled and experienced injector, your BOTOX results should look very natural. However, it can take up to 2 weeks for your results to fully develop.
The best treatment option for your double chin will depend on a number of factors, including how much unwanted fat is in the area to begin with and your personal preferences. Dr. Mariotti will help you decide which choice would be the most appropriate treatment for you.
If you’re unhappy with your results from hyaluronic acid fillers, you can have the product dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase. BOTOX results, on the other hand, will take around 3 to 6 months to fade away on their own and this process cannot be accelerated.
There are lots of different kinds of injectable fillers and the right product for you will depend on your unique needs and goals. However, if you want the option of removing the filler before it naturally fades away, you may want to try a filler comprised of hyaluronic acid.
The amount of time that injectables will last will depend on which one you choose. Kybella, for instance, can yield long-lasting results when combined with a healthy diet and exercise routine. Many dermal fillers can last for 6 to 12 months, while BOTOX results typically last for 3 to 6 months.
