Patient Background: This 40 something year old man had a Roux-en-Y gastric bypass and lost approximately 145 pounds. He consulted Dr. Mariotti regarding body contouring surgery aft removal of excess skin following his massive weight loss. His priority list includes excess skin of his neck, his chest, under his arms, his abdomen, hips, thighs and buttocks. He underwent a in October of 2003 by Dr. Otero. At his peak, he was 325 pounds. He lost approximately 145 pounds to a low of 180 before going back up to his current weight of 210 pounds. He has been stable at this weight for the past 2-3 years. He is quite active and goes to the gym frequently and does resistance training as well.
