PATIENT BACKGROUND: This intent women in her late 50’s, was set on losing weight. In 2015 she underwent a sleeve gastrectomy and as a result lost 80 pounds! She is 5 feet 8 inches tall and now weighs 190 pounds. However, not uncommon with major weight loss, she has been left with a significant amount of excess overhanging skin. In addition to the excess skin of the weight loss, she has had multiple cesarean sections giving her tethered, indented scars on her lower abdomen. This excess apron of skin inhibits her activities of daily living. She is here to see Dr. Mariotti to discuss body contouring surgery as she wants the body she deserves after all the hardwork she has put into losing weight.
